Famous for being one of the greatest wildlife destinations in the world, Tanzania provides a classic, traditional African travel experience. Blessed with breathtaking game, wildlife, welcoming people and iconic scenery, Tanzania is the ideal location to embrace the best that Africa has to offer.


Day 1    Dar Es Salaam Serena Hotel


On arrival into Dar Es Salaam International Airport guests are met by a representative from Sense of Africa and transferred to Dar Es Salaam Serena Hotel. Guests are free to explore the city at their leisure.


Day 2    Vuma Hills Tented Camp


After breakfast the tour departs for Mikumi National Park, with a lunch stop en-route in Morogoro.

Home to a large concentration of mammals, birds and reptiles, the lesser-known Mikumi National Park provides a beautiful setting with golden grasslands against the stunning backdrop of the Udzungwa and Uluguro Mountains.

Activity – Afternoon game drive


Day 3 – 5    Ruaha River Lodge


After breakfast the tour departs for the Ruaha National Park, arriving in time for lunch at the Ruaha River Lodge.

Consisting of 24 spacious stone chalets which are dotted along the banks of the Ruaha River, each with amazing river views from its veranda. The lodge features two dining/lounging areas situated to make the most of this stunning setting. Breakfast is served with a view of the river ideal for watching the animals take a morning drink, while the second is positioned on top of the largest kopje in the area with views along two sections of the river.

Day 6 – 7   Udzungwa Mountain View Lodge


After breakfast the tour departs for the Udzungwa Mountains National Park, with a stop en-route for lunch.

Activities – A visit to the Isimilia Historical site and a full day guided trek (moderate) to the summit of the Sanje Waterfalls.


Day 8 – 10    Rufiji River Camp


After breakfast the tour departs for the Selous Game Reserve,  arriving in time for lunch.

The Rufiji River is home to hippo and crocodile, while the Selous Game Reserve sees large numbers of buffalo, lion and antelope.

Activities – Morning and afternoon game drives


Day 11


After breakfast, guests depart for Dar es Salaam, arriving in time for lunch at either the Dar es Salaam Serena Hotel or the Slipway Restaurant. After lunch a transfer to a city hotel or the airport is provided.
