Fly from place to place in this 11-Day Namibia Highlights Fly-In Safari. It is the ultimate visit to Namibia in just more than a week. Visit the game herds in the Etosha National Park, Namibia’s hidden “gems” at Twyfelfontein ending at the “sea of dunes” … the Namib Desert and amazing Sossusvlei area.

 

This is the 7-Day Highlights Fly-In with 2 extensions:

2-Day Extension – This amazing itinerary includes the north-west areas of Namibia with Himba people and desert adapted animals

2-Day extension – Include Swakopmund and the Skeleton Coast with an excursion south of Walvis Bay to Sandwich harbour

 

 

Day 1 – 2                Etosha National Park

  • Guests will be met by their pilot at the Windhoek airport from where they fly north towards Etosha National Park
  • Transfer to the lodge for the evening
  • Fully inclusive of meals and activities
  • PM game drive included … if time permits (or AM of Day 3)
  • Etosha is one of Africa’s great game parks. With 114 species of mammal and 340 species of birds you are sure to see a great variety of wildlife on your safari
  • AM and PM game drives into the Etosha National Park and/or on Onguma Reserve … entry fees included.

 

Day 3 – 4                Damaraland / Kaokoland

  • Fly west to the remote areas of Kunene Provence (Damaraland and/or Kaokoland)
  • A full day is set aside in this amazing area to visit traditional Himba and Herero villages, see a wide range of desert adapted animals like elephants, giraffe, oryx, springbok etc
  • Enjoy this harsh but beautiful desert area where dunes and rocky plains meet at the dry Hoaruseb River with occasional wetland areas … a major attraction for wildlife

 

Day 5 – 6                Damaraland / Twyfelfontein

  • Fly to Twyfelfontein area
  • AM and PM activities include a visit to Namibia’s “open air museum’, the Twyfelfontein petroglyphs and bushman paintings, Burnt Mountain as well as the interesting Organ Pipes rock formations. To add, a river drive to look for the desert adapted elephants is included
  • Damaraland features vast khaki plains, sheer rocky mountains and incredible desert-adapted wildlife. Explore the rugged land or sit back and enjoy the dramatic scenery.

 

Day 7 – 8                 Swakopmund

 

  • West and then south along the Skeleton Coast to the colonial town of Swakopmund
  • Visit local curio shops, museum, aquarium, Kristal Gallery, market as well as many other attractions on offer
  • Day 6 will include a half day excursion to visit Sandwich Harbour which is situated south of Walvis Bay … the only way to get there is by 4X4 vehicle, over dunes and along the beach … a real Skeleton Coast experience

 

9 & 10                      Skeleton Coast / Namib Desert

 

  • Scenic flight along the Skeleton Coast and the Namib Dunes to the landing strip close to the Namib Naukluft Park
  • Road transfer to the lodge
  • Late afternoon sundowner hill is included
  • On Day 10, AM early morning rise for a light breakfast and then on to the beautiful Sossusvlei area where all day will be spent … enjoy an amazing picnic style lunch under ancient acacia trees

Day 11 Windhoek

 

  • Fly back to the Windhoek Airport, over the Namib Naukluft Mountain range where this amazing trip will end
  • Pre and post accommodation with airport transfers can be arrange in Windhoek if necessary

  • £5,995.00 per person in off-peak season (1st January – 30th June)
  • £6,295.00 per person in peak season (1st July – 31st December)
