Karibu Kenya Safari
|Jan - Dec
BEST TIME TO VISIT
&Beyond have put together the ultimate collection of luxury accommodation with this safari adventure. Taking in Kenya’s most scenic and wildlife-rich national parks. Highlights include a camel or horseback safari on the open plains of the Laikipia Plateau, amazing photo-opportunities of both picturesque landscapes and excellent game viewing in the famous Masai Mara National Park.
Meet and greet at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by an &Beyond representative with a road transfer to hotel.
One night stay with breakfast.
Fairmont the Norfolk Hotel, House of Waine Boutique Hotel or Giraffe Manor.
Day 2 – 3
After breakfast a road transfer to Wilson Airport, Nairobi, followed by a scheduled light aircraft flight to Lewa Airstrip.
Two night stay at either Lewa Wildlife Conservancy or Borana Wildlife Conservancy, fully inclusive.
Both conservancies provide some of the most spectacular wildlife viewing that Kenya has to offer: lion, leopard and jackal thrive on the rich diversity of prey that inhabits the area and the diverse habitats attract diverse birdlife and rare species such as Beisa oryx and Grevy’s Zebra.
One of East Africa’s original family-owned conservancies, Borana is located within the vast area of the Ewaso ecosystem on the Laikipia Plateau: snow-tipped peaks and the glaciers of Mount Kenya to the south; a panorama of mountains and desert to the north, Borana provides an idyllic setting for any African experience. Home to the Dyer family for three generations, the ranch – 17 miles north of the equator and 6,000 feet above sea level – is free from the malarial mosquito and the nights are cool. Accommodation at either Lewa Safari Camp or Sirikoi Lodge.
Sprawling over the Laikipia plains, Lewa Wildlife Conservancy is a prolific wildlife conservancy that is popular with celebrities, conservationists, writers and photographers. Lewa found recent media attention with stories of a blossoming Royal romance. Underpinning the glamorous magnetism of Lewa Wildlife Conservancy is a serious mission: a pioneering and pragmatic approach to conservation, founded in the 1970s that has developed into a thriving and globally recognised rhino conservation habitat. Accommodation at Borana Lodge.
Day 4 – 6
After breakfast a road transfer takes you back to the Lewa Airstrip for the next scheduled light aircraft flight to the Masai Mara. On arrival enjoy a game drive en route to camp.
Three night stay in the the Masai Mara with luxury and deluxe options available, fully inclusive. At either &Beyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp, Sanctuary Olonana or &Beyond Bateleur Camp.
Situated in the northern extension of the Serengeti, the Masai Mara is Kenya’s most renowned game park. Game viewing is spectacular throughout the year, with virtually guaranteed sightings of the Big Five. The annual Great Migration, with over two million wildebeest and other antelope following the rains, arrive in the Masai Mara between August and November.
After an early morning game drive and breakfast, a road transfer takes you back to the airstrip for a scheduled light aircraft flight to Wilson Airport, Nairobi.
Here you’ll be me by an &Beyond representative for a road transfer onto Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
